Who needs a UK ETA?
The UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is required for visitors from eligible countries who wish to enter the United Kingdom for short stays, transit, tourism or business.

ETA validity and length of stay
How long your ETA is valid, how long you can stay per visit — and what to do when it expires.
Validity
Your UK ETA is valid for 2 years or until your passport expires — whichever comes first. You can use it for multiple trips during this period.
Length of stay
Each visit allows a stay of up to 6 months (or 3 months under the Creative Worker route). You can travel, study or do short-term business activities.
Renewal
ETAs cannot be extended. Once your ETA or your passport expires, you must apply for a new ETA before your next trip.
ETA requirements
Passport
A valid passport from an eligible country, valid for the duration of your planned stay.
Personal photo
A recent, clear passport photo meeting UK specifications.
Payment method
A valid credit or debit card. Our service fee and the UK Government ETA fee are shown separately before payment.
Email address
We notify you by email about every status update — a valid email address is required.
ETA decision
After submission, both our team and the UK Home Office review your details. Once the decision is made, you receive an email confirmation.
Your ETA has been approved!
